Camp Freedom is a year-round, day and overnight camp for honorably discharged veterans, first responders, and individuals in good standing with disabilities and their families which provides quality hunting, shooting, fishing, camping, hiking, and other year round outdoor related activities. These activities remove individuals from clinical settings into the healing properties of the outdoors. The activities also promote the social welfare of the participants by interacting with other individuals, their families, and volunteers. Camp Freedom will focus on abilities and strengths rather than disabilities. Activities will be led by staff of the organization and qualified volunteers. The camp is mostly accessible to wheelchairs. Activities are modified to give every person the opportunity to fully participate. Additional activities will include other outdoor excursions such as nature walks, wildlife tracking, and flora identification. Day and overnight facilities are available. Funding for the activities will be through fund raising and donations. Camp Freedom will also provide services to other non-profits who have similar missions for a collective impact.
