The Founder of Camp Freedom recognized a huge problem in the disabled community. He saw the limited possibilities for those who were disabled, in any manner, to experience the outdoors. The lack of access and then the lack of adapted access were inhibiting the segment of the disabled community that love shooting sports, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and more. Unlike many, our founder didn’t stop once he realized the problem. He decided to do something about it. His solution is Camp Freedom.
The opportunities for disabled Veterans, First Responders, and their families at Camp Freedom are endless. Our goal is to implement sustainable programs and processes that will allow this ground and its fish and wildlife to thrive for many years to come which will be enjoyed by many. Camp Freedom will allow the disabled to experience the outdoors in a safe and protected manner while giving them exposure to the life healing benefits of outdoor activities.
Camp Freedom is more than a hunt, a fishing trip, or a hike on our pristine 1800 acres. It is an opportunity for those who are seeking continued healing in their life’s journey to find spiritual, physical, and mental peace that can only be found in the outdoors. Our goal is to provide high quality outdoor adventures to the disabled with their needs, objectives, and life goals in mind.
